Limpopo contains one of South Africa’s eight Unesco World Heritage Sites, the Mapungbwe Cultural Landscape. Mapungubwe was South Africa’s first kingdom that developed into the subcontinent’s largest realm. Lasting for 400 years around the 14th century, it’s people traded ivory and gold with Egypt, India and China.

Limpopo is a tourist paradise rich with adventure and history. It has 54 provincial reserves and many luxury private game reserves. One of Limpopo’s best attractions is the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre. Here visitors can move between the various enclosures to discover more about cheetahs, rhinos, wildcats and more.
